Good morning…
He shared one simple quote after yesterday’s post, Primary Or Peripheral?
“The first wise men gave Christ treasures from their kingdoms. Today’s wise men give Christ the treasures of their heart.” – Holley Gerth
Yet, complicating the gift-giving process, our heart-treasures are wrapped in our human nature. Anger and anxiety. Stress and selfishness. Depression and defensiveness. These are too often the colors donning the wrapping paper concealing the gifts we lay at the feet of Jesus.
Prayer is giving the living Christ time and space to gently unwrap our self-protection. The wise treasures of our heart are opened, layer by layer, in the kind care of our soothing Savior.
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying and praising and honoring God with a loud voice; and he lay face downward at Jesus’ feet, thanking Him [over and over] (Luke 17:15-16, AMP).
