Good morning…
Have you ever caught a glimpse of God’s Spirit ministering? In awe, look at the tie between the following three emails.
First, two days ago fighting inner resistance I posted a chain letter of blessing from a very close friend (see “My secret confession.”). Walk away from drama and people who create it. Surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don’t. Peace within. Trust. Infinite possibilities are born from faith in God, yourself, and others. Pass on the love you have been given. Allow your soul to the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. This was the gist of my post from 1.28.16. In response to this post, I received the following email from a loyal, deeply faithful subscriber, a subscriber with whom I enjoy regular, soulful cyber conversations, a subscriber I have never met and may never meet until heaven.
She writes: “Loved today’s devotional – and I too cringe when I read the conditional blessings in the group chains! And like you said, there’s always that conflict because the sender is usually someone just wanting to share something uplifting! On another note, it’s a long and complicated story, but a classmate of my son’s got pregnant last year, her junior year of high school. I did not know her, but through mutual friends she came into my life. I cannot tell you how many of your devotionals have impacted her. This young, brave girl’s story could not be more heartbreaking – she has been abused and molested by her father her whole life, there is a restraining order finally against her dad and her mother is completely absent. By the grace of God, we found a psychologist who is now counseling her and she’s on a path to go to college next fall. At midnight last night she sent the message below and said it brought her comfort – you are one of her Angels so I wanted to share. ‘A world in which there are monsters, and ghosts, and things that want to steal your heart is a world in which there are angels, and dreams, and a world in which there is hope.’ – Neil Gaiman.”
Now look with me at the final line of the chain letter I received around the exact same time and shared yesterday in my post, “God’s timing has a sense of humor.” Could this morning message have been personally handcrafted just for one courageous surviving-thriver? “Angels have learned that you are fighting something, and they say it has already passed.”
Did my fingers just pick up the brush of the Spirit’s healing power ministering to a high school senior?
Are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out [by God] to serve (accompany, protect) those who will inherit salvation? [Of course they are!] Hebrews 1:14 (AMP),
