Good morning…
God’s pursuit of us begins early in our lives and continues on throughout our lifetime. The following scripture verses personify God as our lifelong teacher.
Psalm 51:6
Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.
Psalm 71:17
Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
Psalm 119:102
I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me.
Proverbs 4:4
Then he taught me, and he said to me, “Take hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live.”
As God pursues us, we pursue God. We take hold of the LORD’s words with all our heart. We keep God’s commands, giving as much as we understand about ourselves to as much as we understand about God, day after day. And we live, really live as the power of this process of mutual pursuit gradually nurtures us into a full-grown experience of salvation.
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness, 1 Peter 2:2-3 (NLT),
