Good morning…
My attention was caught by James 1:19-21 in The Message translation. These three verses whisper saving wisdom to savor this Sabbath.
Post this at all the intersections, dear friends: Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear. God’s righteousness doesn’t grow from human anger. So throw all spoiled virtue and cancerous evil in the garbage. In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.
This first week of autumn, we have considered the hopeful notion that living is hidden within our dying, that death and elegance go hand in hand, and that God’s “hidden wholeness” holds together every living thing. Now this question falls into our lap: “In simple humility, will I let God landscape a salvation-garden with my life, decaying ‘what is’ and dropping the new seeds of ‘what eventually will be’?”
