Good morning…
As 2019 tips into 2020, today is a day of looking back before we move forward. As I reminisce about the experiences of our online community this year, there are three things for which I feel most grateful.
- This is the year we shifted from me taking summers off from daily blog writing to become an online community that intimately interacts 365 days each year. I am most grateful for the many of you subscribers who gave me permission to post some of your beautifully written words. Your thoughts blended with my thoughts and collaboratively God’s wisdom carried us through the hot summer months and into the freshness of fall.
- I am also quite thankful to those of you who felt compelled by God to share a gratitude gift to financially support the ongoing costs of our daily written word ministry. I am blown away by God’s generosity to our online community, gradually growing our expanding bond, mutual, meaningful, and multifaceted.
- As I look over the categories of posts we have explored together over the years, I marvel at the top twelve topics we have tackled most regularly with God. #12 Death and Resurrection – 94 posts. #11 Awareness – 95 posts. #10 Grief – 98 posts. #9 Transformation – 105 posts. #8 Family and Friends – 107 posts. #7 Letting Go – 115 posts. #6 Prayer – 117 posts. #5 True Self – 126 posts. #4 God’s Plan – 167 posts. #3 God’s Love – 227 posts. #2 Trust God – 303 posts. #1 Everyday Life – 341 posts. I am so so so grateful that, morning by morning, we grow gradually more aware of the gracious love of God transforming our everyday lives and the lives of our family and friends. Letting go of our own expectations, praying our way through the valley of grief, and dying to our old self-protective ways to resurrect from within our God-given True Self, together we are trusting more deeply God’s powerful plan to make everything abundantly new within and around us.
What a joyful privilege to listen to God’s still small voice together each morning. May God’s whispers continue to grow louder and louder within and among us as Revelation 21:3-6 (CEV) comes true right before our expectant eyes.
I heard a loud voice shout from the throne:
God’s home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people. He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.
Then the one sitting on the throne said:
I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted. Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty.
Amen, dear LORD, please let Your promises ring true as we ring in this New Year.
