Good morning…
Many of you were drawn alongside me toward an astronomical shift we gleaned from yesterday’s post, My Mom Is Home.
“Behold.
This is not a problem to be solved.
This is a person to be loved.”
When we shift our focus off of the problem at hand and consider the person sitting right in front of us, we move from problem-solving to generously loving. Might this shift of focus make all the difference?
Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. “What a huge harvest!” he said to his disciples. “How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!” (Matthew 9:35-38, MSG).
Hands touching broken hearts. Prayers for people instead of problems. Loving deeply not solving quickly.
Together we live into “What a huge harvest!”
