Good morning…
“I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world,” said Mother Teresa. I adore this thought.
I am.
Little.
Pencil.
Held in God’s hand.
The steady hand of a writing God.
God is sending a love letter through me.
A love letter addressed to the whole wide world.
Like guiding the movement of a common, number two pencil, God guides ordinary people like us. Day after day, we express God’s extravagant love for each person in this world. You are a letter written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, a letter written not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts (2 Corinthians 3:3b, GW).
Might we each ask, “Spirit of the living God, what is your next loving sentence and to whom might I send it?”
