Good morning…

We blink our eyes awake on a very significant day in American history. We celebrate the day the Declaration of Independence was adopted (July 4, 1776) and the United States officially became its own nation. Today is flag. Family. Friends. Freedom. Fireworks. Fashioning with God a fabulous future.

The Eternal’s purposes will last to the end of time;
    the thoughts of His heart will awaken and stir all generations.
The nation whose True God is the Eternal is truly blessed;
    fortunate are all whom He chooses to inherit His legacy.

The Eternal peers down from heaven
    and watches all of humanity;
He observes every soul
    from His divine residence.
He has formed every human heart, breathing life into every human spirit;
    He knows the deeds of each person, inside and out.
A king is not delivered by the might of his army.
    Even the strongest warrior is not saved by his own strength.
A horse is not the way to victory;
    its great strength cannot rescue.

Listen, the eye of the Eternal is upon those who live in awe of Him,
    those who hope in His steadfast love,
That He may save them from the darkness of the grave
    and be kept alive during the lean seasons.

We live with hope in the Eternal. We wait for Him,
    for He is our Divine Help and Impenetrable Shield.
Our hearts erupt with joy in Him
    because we trust His holy name.
O Eternal, drench us with Your endless love,
    even now as we wait for You (Psalm 33:11-22, VOICE).

The Eternal’s purposes will last to the end of time.

Do you sense God awakening and stirring our generation? We are inheriting the legacy of God. The Eternal forms every human heart and breathes life into every human spirit. We each are known, inside and out. Kings and warriors and horses do not bring victory, their great strength cannot rescue us from our pain.

Instead, listen. Live in awe of the Eternal. Hope in His steadfast love. Though we are enduring a dark, lean season, we live with hope. We wait for the saving power of God, our Divine Help, our Impenetrable Shield. Even now, joy erupts because we trust in God.

Living Lord, please drench us with Your endless love, night and day. Even now we wait for Your freedom, Your fireworks, Your fabulous future.

The Eternal’s purposes will last to the end of time. Each day, my friends, let’s live in awe.
