Good morning…
I am so grateful that art is a part of my life every week. Good art, bad art, it matters not. Whether others love it or hate it, more art emerges.
On Mondays from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, a group of about ten of us volunteers take turns leading art activities with the students in the PAWkids after-school enrichment program in downtown Atlanta. Joy flows. Bonds grow.
Then every Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am, I love exploring spiritual growth through art with our Therapeutic Community Group, a group of men and women, young and old, black and white. We paint. We draw. We share our feelings. We laugh. We learn. We listen. We truly love to each other.
We are all created by our Creator who has wired us all to create. Art gets to our heart. As our True Self is tapped, bold colors turn on, and God’s living, breathing bond lives and breathes among us!
Still, Eternal One, You are our Father. We are just clay, and You are the potter. We are the product of Your creative action, shaped and formed into something of worth (Isaiah 64:8, VOICE). Flowing with God’s creative action, week after week, we are each being shaped and formed into something of eternal worth.

P.S. Each Monday night, we also share a family style meal with the thirty kids and the staff. Two weeks ago, I made homemade Stromboli and brownies. This week, I made homemade chicken fingers and fries. Some weeks we order food and cover the cost of yummy meals. Sometimes groups (friends, Bible study groups, Sunday school classes) sign up to bring and serve dinner from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. If you are interested in sign up to bring a meal, please fill a slot for an upcoming Monday night here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050D4EAFA728A7F49-44573353-family
If you would prefer to donate funds to help us cover the cost of dinners for the rest of the semester, please go to our Gratitude Gift link and indicate “PAWkids dinners.” We will spend your money wisely, Monday after Monday.
