Good morning…
Usually I am not a list maker. But yesterday when I happened upon a few open hours, I prayerfully doodled a list and happily discerned my most pressing “have to’s.” Bank. Grocery. Flower shop. Goodwill. UPS. Gas station.
Check. Check. Check. Tons of important tasks delightfully accomplished. As a person who focuses much of my energy on the “art of being,” it felt really good to feed my “need for doing.”
For two solid hours I wholeheartedly accepted God’s invitation: “Blend your ‘being’ with your ‘doing’ so all becomes an energizing prayer.”
Stay wide-awake in prayer…Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything…and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything… (1 Peter 4:8,10-11, MSG).
