Good morning…

“Unlimited Possibilities” is the phrase that filled my mind as I woke yesterday. Where was “Unlimited Possibilities” hiding? Might I have written those two words in my Awake To Wellness notes? I comb through the scribblings in my retreat journal, and, sure enough, I find “Unlimited Possibilities.” What was Dr. Cathy Snapp teaching us when I jotted this two-word phrase?

Adding a little flesh to their bones, my sketchy notes read: “Unlimited Possibilities. Hope. Amazing. A fascinating opportunity. In our brain, clusters of fear and negativity uncouple, uncouple to reconnect to infinite, positive anything. This is the potential of our hidden life. Breaking negative clusters then neurosculpting a new brain, shaped by God’s lasting virtues. Faith. Gratitude. Love. Forgiveness. Peace. Serenity. Joy. Kindness. Strength.

Be  present moment to moment to moment. 20-30 second increments of focused stillness. Music. Nature. Silence. We all find our best way to be still. How great is God to create us with this capacity?

We change our mind, from old brain to new brain. The more we do it, the more we want to do it. It gets easier and easier to blaze new neuropathways. Individual by individual, focusing on what works WORKS. Taking in life-giving nutrients. Enjoying positive relationships. Experiencing mutual laughter. Breathing fresh air. Being outside, soaking in God’s grandeur. We activate and install God’s renewing virtues, rewiring our brain. We all experience passing states of joy, awe, wonder. God invites us to develop these passing states into our lasting traits. 25-30 second period by 25-30 second period.

As we are transformed, our life-giving words plant seeds in other people’s neuroanatomy. We neurosculpt each other in vibrant community.”

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us] (Ephesians 2:10, AMP).
