Good morning…
“…circumstances in life can shift in the blink of an eye,” said the book quote my friend texted me. “Just like that, the forces in life can shift us from rich to poor, from poor to rich, from married to single, from sad to happy, from imprisoned to free, from calm to chaos. Again and again life teaches us that we are not in charge of anything but our response to the many outside currents of life – all of which are impersonal, organic, and interconnected to the whole network of life.”
“Yet somehow, within this endless, impersonal cosmic landscape of creation, how and when and why the events of your life unfold are intimately known to the Divine,” explains the quote. “They are purposeful. For nothing is random; nothing is without cause or consequence. Experiences commonly referred to a ‘synchronicity’ – such as a television program broadcasting the exact information I desperately need to understand – are, for me, mystical experiences. They are evidence of the intimacy in which we are watched and cared for by the Divine.”
The quote concludes: “Teresa of Avila said, ‘Look for God in the small details of your life,’ in the ordinary world, in the most insignificant of acts that make your life easier or safer or that provide one more detail that may well save the life of someone you love dearly. Through this mystical lens, anything might be a blessing in disguise.”
“I love the quote by Teresa of Avila,” my friend texted. “‘Look for God in the small details of your life.’ That’s what you said to me just last week. I love the surround sound of God!”
“Yes,” I replied. “We share such beautiful synchronicity with God. Soul-filling and Spirit-led, I hope to continue developing the art of looking for God in the small, ordinary details of our everyday lives together.”
Can’t you hear the voice of Wisdom?
From the top of the mountains of influence she speaks into the gateways of the glorious city. At the place where pathways merge, at the entrance of every portal, there she stands, ready to impart understanding, shouting aloud to all who enter, preaching her sermon to those who will listen.
“I’m calling to you, sons of Adam, yes, and to you daughters as well. Listen to me and you will be prudent and wise. For even the foolish and feeble can receive an understanding heart that will change their inner being. The meaning of my words will release within you revelation for you to reign in life. My lyrics will empower you to live by what is right” (Proverbs 8:1-6, TPT).
