Good morning…
I remember a poem read at the funeral of a dear friend who died of cancer. I search for it, I find it, and I adapt it to meet the deep need spreading across our globe today.

An adaptation of “What Cancer Cannot Do” by Dr. Robert L. Lynn
Coronavirus is so limited…
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the Spirit.

Coronavirus is so limited as we love freely. We hope boldly. We strengthen faith. We spread peace. We develop confidence. We feed friendship. We create memories. We harness courage. We celebrate eternal life. As together we tap the unquenchable power of God’s contagious Spirit, Coronavirus is so, so limited.
Never be afraid of those who can kill the body but are powerless to kill the soul! Far better to stand in awe of the one who has the power… (Matthew 10:28a, PHILLIPS).
