hurricane

Good morning…

I have been emailing back and forth with my special friend, Gina Macfarland, who lives in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Yesterday, she sent me a very real, very touching documentary created to shed light on the vulnerable human experience in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

“In all the heaviness, almost every time there is an equal amount of beauty in it, as well,” explains one of the producers of this intensely important video. “There’s a full range of human emotions in it. There’s smiles and laughs and jokes and tears and sadness and fear and hope and joy.”

If the Holy Spirit draws you, please give yourself the gift of watching the documentary below, learning directly from our N.C. neighbors in need. Prayers offered in faith will restore them from sickness and bring them to health. The Lord will lift them up from the floor of despair (James 5:15a, VOICE).

P.S. To research how to help care for the ongoing needs, Gina recommends, “Donations should go to local churches only – these are the ones that I know who are doing a great job.”

Biltmore Community Church
Black Mountain Baptist Church
Christ Community Church Black Mountain
Covenant Reformed Church in Asheville

“Here are other Christian organizations that I am really impressed with,” says Gina.
