Good morning…
I love the Thursday Thought my friend Mazi Robinson shared this week. Mazi runs Cultivate Counseling, a wonderful resource for health and well being in our Atlanta community. Here are the encouraging words Mazi shared yesterday.

I am a quote person. I love quotes. When I hear a good one, I immediately write it down in the Notes app in my phone.
Years ago, I heard comedian Craig Ferguson share today’s quote in reference to his own recovery journey. The quote captured me with its wisdom and compassion, and it has become one my favorite and most often quoted quotes. Why? Because it’s true.
Whatever IT is, you don’t have to wait for IT to get worse in your life.
You don’t have to wait until the anxiety has stolen all your dreams and confidence.
You don’t have to wait until the depression has you fully in its grip.
You don’t have to wait until alcohol has washed away all your relationships.
You don’t have to wait until the job burns through your joy, creativity, and motivation.
You don’t have to wait until the marriage is filled with soul crushing resentment.
You don’t have to wait until the stress starts causing physical pain.
You don’t have to wait until you lose your temper again.
You don’t have to wait until it gets worse.
You don’t have to convince yourself that it really isn’t that bad. You don’t have to believe the lie that says others have it worse so you should be grateful and stick it out.
You don’t have to reach the bottom of excruciating pain and loss before you reach out for help, before you say enough is enough, before you decide it is time to change.
You can get help today. You can ask for help today. You can make a change today. You can decide this is your bottom.
You don’t have to wait.

God, listen! Listen to my prayer, listen to the pain in my cries. Don’t turn your back on me just when I need you so desperately. Pay attention! This is a cry for help! And hurry—this can’t wait! (Psalm 102:1-2, MSG).
In what important ways does this Psalm and Mazi’s message resonate with you today?
