Good morning…
All week last week, Steve visited with his 94 year old mom in rural Pennsylvania. Cold. Windy. Harsh. He experienced a different kind of beauty found in our family’s favorite summertime spot.

Also last week, as my sister was preparing the traditional family Christmas calendar for the year, I sent fun photos from time spent with my parents in Ohio. They are 87 and 88 years young. I look forward to a holiday visit with them early next month.

This Thanksgiving morning, we wake to our parents living far away. We are far away today, and deeply connected by God’s eternal Spirit alive within each of us.
People may live for many years, and they should happily enjoy every day (Ecclesiastes 11:8a, EASY).
Bonded by the Spirit, whether surrounded by family face-to-face or loving from far away, how might we happily enjoy God’s gift called today?
