sunshine

Good morning…

“I love your post today!” she wrote yesterday after experiencing our morning message Just Show Love. “I posted one of your quotes to my Instagram. So cool. God is really talking through you these days!”

Look at God’s love shining through my creative friend.

As I have told you before, I do not Instagram, twitter-tweet or Face-a-book, but I admire tremendously those who creatively use these social media platforms to just show the love of God, to help people find the will to live abundantly.

Today’s visual amplification of God’s sustaining love will be such a blessing to my friend who boards an airplane this afternoon to journey into her thirty day inpatient treatment adventure. This image will colorfully remind my brave friend of the handwritten note I tucked in her care package this week. “Trust the part of you that feels like sunshine. Warm. Light. Nurtured by God. I love you.”

Lord, people find the will to live because you keep your promises. And my spirit also finds life in your promises. You brought me back to health. You let me live (Isaiah 38:16, NIRV). Dear Lord, please inspire words like these to be shining in my friend’s heart when she returns home in March. May she and we be empowered by you to live the vibrant life that is uniquely ours to live.

…Sue…

P.S. The gorgeous cream colored vase, which sits beside my “Welcoming Spirit” woman, was purchased at The Front Porch of Vinings. This symbol of our soul was given to me for Christmas by my dear, longtime friend. This special friend lost her husband to brain cancer seven years today. Day in and day out, I have witnessed God keeping his promises in the life of my grieving friend. From the overwhelming pit of aching loss, our Lord has allowed the sun to shine in her vulnerable heart, bringing her back to health, letting her live with great joy and abundance.

Today’s colorful message expands to her and to each of you, “Trust the part of you that feels like sunshine. Warm. Light. Nurtured by God. I love you.”
