Good morning…
Yesterday, three of us were talking about different types of wake up calls. One preschool mom said, “When my son wakes up each morning, he calls in a sing-songy voice, ‘Hellooo… It’s meee…'” The other mom of adult children said, “Whenever my daughter woke up as a little girl, she would loudly yell ‘Juice!’ ‘Juice!’ ‘Juice!’ or ‘Pop Tart!’ ‘Pop Tart!’ ‘Pop Tart!’ That was my alarm clock.” Upon waking up, our youngest son would make his own morning melody, “Mommeee… Come get meee…” and when our oldest son would wake up, he would quietly crawl out of his little boy bed and into our king sized bed, waking us in the wee hours to begin a brand new day. The first number we taught him was “7” and, wired from early on with a mathematical mind, he learned quickly to stay in his room to play quietly on his own until the first number on his digital clock turned “7.”
The three of us moms chuckled yesterday at how our kids’ unique wake up calls actually say a lot about each child’s own personality today. The two sing-songy boys are both happy go lucky kids who welcome the world like an upbeat melody. The “Juice!” and “Pop Tart!” girl is now very attentive to her intense emotions and has spent much of her young adult life learning to make peace with her strong inner cravings. Our number “7” boy is now a Georgia Tech student, thriving in his finance classes. Weaving into our inner being eternal plans and purposes, God has wired us uniquely since the first morning we woke up and called out.
…I bow my knees [in reverence] before the Father [of our Lord Jesus Christ], from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name [God—the first and ultimate Father]. May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], Ephesians 3:14b-16 (AMP),
