Good morning…

In the morning from Vinings, Georgia, our twenty-two year old daughter captured this photo of the rising sun. In the evening from Minnesota, I received this text and photo from my nineteen year old friend, Joanna.

“Hi Sue!” she wrote. “Thinking of you and just letting you know I’m doing well! Here’s a picture from where I went swimming with a friend tonight.”

Through the rising of the sun through its prescheduled setting, are we willing to trust the Maker of all living things?

As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things (Ecclesiastes 11:5, NIV). Since we do not know the path and cannot understand the work of God, are we willing to invest our trust in the Maker of all things?

Might we fully embrace the final statement from yesterday’s blog post, Who Is Guiding Our Children? “God has got our children!”

As they head off to college, to chemo, to careers, they will face curve balls and life’s many complexities. Yet, from the rising of the sun to its inevitably sweet setting, we are invited to settle into deep trust: “The Almighty God has got us and our children.”

“What is the value of your soul to God? Could your worth be defined by any amount of money? God doesn’t abandon or forget even the small sparrow he has made. How then could he forget or abandon you? What about the seemingly minor issues of your life? Do they matter to God? Of course they do! So you never need to worry, for you are more valuable to God than anything else in this world” (Luke 12:6-7, TPT).

Your soul is eternally valuable to God and so is the unique soul implanted in every child once formed in a mother’s womb. Our Creator will not forget or abandon any one of us.

…Sue…
