Good morning…
Millions of people around the world turned out for hundreds of simultaneous gatherings on Saturday. More than one million people joined marches in the United States, including hundreds of thousands in Washington, D.C., for the Women’s March on Washington. “Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy,” President Trump tweeted. “Even if I don’t always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views.”
I sense that the main motivation behind these swarming shows of solidarity is summed up in Revelation 3:2 (NIV). Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. A Victor Hugo quote walks in step with Scripture: “It is nothing to die; it is frightful not to live.”
Prayerfully ponder with me these two questions.
“What in us, individually and collectively, is about to die?”
“Which unfinished deeds is God waking up and strengthening in me today?”
