Good morning…
“As I let our little dog outside in the middle of this cold, dark night…” began our windchime blog post from yesterday.
“I was feeding my adopted cat this morning…” later came her witty reply, an email entitled He Is Here. “I was walking back in the house to wash my hands. Happened to look down and there it was…”
“Oh we could say so many things that made those two piece of palm fronds laying there,” she mused, “but, probably like you, I’ll choose the God one!”
“Onward into this day that the Lord has indeed made,” she concluded.
He is here. He is now. He is everywhere, inside, among, around.
As we move onward into this day, will we train our eyes to see the presence of our living Lord in life’s little details? Kindly caring for our dogs and cats. Feeling on our skin the cold of darkness and the light of sunshine. The song of bumping chimes moved by invisible Wind. Savoring warm suds to clean our dirty hands. Noticing tiny gifts on the path beneath our feet. Breathing in the palpable freedom bought for us all on the cross of Christ.
This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us be full of joy and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24, NLV).
