Good morning…
“I love a blog called the Marginalian,” a friend wrote me this week. “Here’s an excerpt of poetry for today to share.”
So few grains of happiness
measured against all the dark
and still the scales balance.
There is so much darkness in this wounding world. How easily we can get swept up in the fear, the rage, the wars.
So, my very dear friends, don’t get thrown off course. Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle (James 1:17, MSG).
Sustainer of eternal life, please give us eyes to see your light permeating the dark, mysteriously balancing everything.
