Good morning…

For the first time, I notice something that has likely been there all along. At the end of my friend’s email, below her name, title, and business, rests a short quote by Mary Mrozowski.

“I am where I need to be.

Everything around me

includes and hides

the sacred.”

How freeing it would be to live each second of every day in total trust: “I am where I need to be.”

From a place of settled oneness with God, might I gradually open my eyes to everything? Everything around me. Every person. Every sight and sound and scent. Everything around me includes the sacred. The cherished. The divine. The holy. Everything around me hides the sacred. The blessed. The hallowed. The revered. God’s supernatural presence both envelopes me and evades me, as I rest right where I need to be.

This morning, might you and I be like Jacob who wakes from a revelatory dream? He said, “God is in this place—truly. And I didn’t even know it!” He was terrified. He whispered in awe, “Incredible. Wonderful. Holy. This is God’s House. This is the Gate of Heaven” (Genesis 28:16-17, MSG).

We are where we need to be. Everything around us includes and hides the sacred.
