Good morning…
“Please don’t miss ‘I Believe’ by Mark Miller on YouTube,” she wrote after yesterday’s post, When God Seems Silent. “So thankful for your commitment to sharing your love of scripture.”
I enjoyed the adventure of researching various versions of this powerful song. The following rendition by Schola Diffusa (Latin for “dispersed choir”) was performed from the singers’ homes — in January 2021 — during the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The performance premiered as a unifying beacon of light on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2021.
“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost…Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live” (Isaiah 55:1-3a, NIV).
