Good morning…
“Aren’t we all still like that 20 year old in some way?” she wrote after yesterday’s post. “We too must wait…”
She continued: “I didn’t sleep well last night. Awake for 2 hours, thinking about all that is uncertain and all that needs to be done. I just don’t want to miss any piece of the puzzle, anything that is mine to do. And then I think about the journey if way opens before me, what will the expectations be, how will I carry all of it?”
I noticed her writing take a deep breath. Exhaling anxiety, she inhaled God. Tapped from within, the Spirit moved.
“And then I remember:
God will only give me what is mine to do.
He is bigger than any of these things I’m pondering.
I must stay present to today, do what I can and should, and let go of the rest.
I must actively wait—do my part, and know that when I’m resting God is at work.
And, I must take time to rest.”
When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comforts delight me (Psalm 94:19, AMP).
