Good morning…
Amid a wild, windy thunderstorm in the middle of this dark night, I am drawn back to a poem I met yesterday about a different kind of hurricane.
Jesus repeated his greeting: “Peace to you. Just as the Father sent me, I send you.” Then he took a deep breath and breathed into them. “Receive the Holy Spirit,” he said (John 20:21-22, MSG).
As we are sent into the world filled with the breath of God, may we exhale, “Peace to you.” We’re going to need a lot of Holy Spirit power to make this hurricane together.
