Good morning…
Each dark night when I am stirred from sleep, I find myself in search of a pearl, a pearl of wisdom, a fresh revelation. Like a mesmerized mermaid, I dive deep down, deep down to the foot of Christ’s heavy cross. There I discover a gem, a gift of the Holy Spirit.
I am always amazed when you tell me, “Today you wrote just what I needed to hear.”
At the innermost of our innermost, we all can relate. In the dark night of our soul, we are all in search of a Holy Spirit pearl, a pearl of wisdom which will bring us to peace, bring us to peace which surpasses human understanding.
God alone understands the path to wisdom;
he alone knows where it can be found.
For he can observe the farthest ends of the earth,
and he sees everything under the heavens (Job 28:23-24, VOICE).
When I uncover a pearl as you rest fast asleep, through a few hours of prayerful writing, I rub the gem raw, until it shines forth the wisdom we all need to hear.
