sunrise

Good morning…

“I think of you at sunrise,” she said on yesterday’s walk and talk. “Did you see the sky this morning?”

Actually, I had not. I had written our blog post from 3:30 to 6:40 am, so by then I was one tired Tigger. I peeked at the pre-dawn sky, sensing it would be a good one, before I climbed back into bed for some extra sleep.

Around 7:00 am, my friend had gone to Starbucks to get a cup of coffee with her dog, and she took the photo above from a nearby parking lot. The photo below lit her pathway home.

“The sky was on fire for only about five minutes,” she said, “but it was absolutely stunning.”

God paints for us a brand new day, each and every morning. Sometimes we soak in the beauty, wide awake, and sometimes we sleep through the silent symphony. Yet as those awake share with those asleep, we all benefit from our bond. As a written word community, I think of you at sunrise, grateful we are traveling home in oneness with our God.

So what should we say about this? If God is for us, no one can stand against us. And God is with us (Romans 8:31, ERV).
