Good morning…

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27 (NLT). The LORD asks a good question. Do we believe anything is too hard for God? Derailing the evil schemes of terrorists. Is that too hard for God? Freeing people from disease and addiction. Is that too hard for the LORD? Giving guidance to the lost and comfort to the grieving. Is that too hard for the Creator of heaven and earth? Jesus looks into our eyes just as Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God,” Mark 10:27 (NIV).

Terrorists. Disease. Addiction. Do we believe God is stronger than these evils? Receiving guidance when lost. Feeling comforted in grief. Relying on our human strength, these things are utterly impossible, yet all things become possible when we collaborate with the LORD. When we add God’s powerful presence into our powerless human experience, nothing is too hard for us, together.

To do the impossible, we take our focus off the terrorists, off the disease, off the addiction. We stop fighting in our own strength; we stop trusting in man-made solutions. We lift our eyes to Almighty God, keeping our whole self focused on the Maker of heaven and earth. Praying for divine guidance, receiving peace that surpasses human understanding, and transforming our fears into supernatural trust, nothing is impossible when we act in unison with the God of all the peoples of the world.

One word of caution: just because all things are possible with God does not mean that we will always get what we want, when we want it. Jesus tells us plainly, “…you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world,” John 16:33 (NLT). When disappointment happens, when death occurs, when hurting people hurt themselves and others, we find our peace in the One True God, who, overcoming the power of evil, has carved a sacred pathway between earth and heaven.

He who diligently seeks good seeks favor and grace, But he who seeks evil, evil will come to him. He who leans on and trusts in and is confident in his riches will fall, But the righteous [who trust in God’s provision] will flourish like a green leaf, Proverbs 11:27-28 (AMP),
