Good morning…
“For the joy set before him, Jesus endured the cross,” explains Hebrews 12:2. Part of the joy I believe Jesus envisioned was the fun we had making forty-seven Easter baskets last week for the PAWkids community as well as the joy of the Easter celebration hosted in their new outdoor space. Revisiting the photos now, the joy of Jesus continues to expand in and through each of us.
“Jesus sees us,” a rhythmic reality dawns. Jesus sees us now and Jesus envisioned our bond back then. The abundant love of God overflowing through us and our Grove Park neighbors offers a small snapshot of the joy set before Jesus that first Easter weekend long, long ago.
In John 17:13 (MSG) Jesus explains why he gave up his life for us all. “So my people can experience My joy completed in them.”

P.S. If you are interested in developing authentic relationship with those in the PAWkids community, there are new homework helping slots open on Mondays and Wednesdays 4:15 – 6:00 pm. We are also offering a fun new opportunity to make beaded bracelets with the kids on Wednesdays 4:15 – 6:00 pm and Fridays 2:00 – 5:00 pm. We plan to sell our creations in an outdoor market at PAWkids at the end of the school year.
