Good morning…
“When life feels crooked, I guess there is strength in leaning into old habits,” I texted my friend. “Lifting prayers in the Northside Church prayer chapel, a thin space connecting earth and heaven. Sending you divine love to bridge every gap.”
I lit a single candle,
praying for those who are grieving,
those who are scared,
those who are lost,
those who are hurting,
those who are tired,
those who are lonely,
those who are confused,
those who are worried,
those who are overwhelmed,
those who are heartbroken.
People can’t straighten things that are crooked (Ecclesiastes 1:15a, NIRV).
We can’t.
God can.
Will we trust and be guided?
Every valley will be filled in. Every mountain and hill will be made level. The crooked roads will become straight. The rough ways will become smooth. And all people will see God’s salvation (Luke 3:5-6, NIRV).
