sacred-space

Good morning…

Into the sacred space between us, we pop-corned our answers to these three poignant questions: “This month, what are you losing? What are you loving? What are you learning?”

I made three different columns on my blank journal page to collect the words popping out of our mouths.

Losing – Hugs. Trick or treat. Structure. Self-discipline. Motivation. Energy exchanged through face to face contact. Ease. Comfort. Spontaneity. Carefree attitude. Reservation-free living.

Loving – Creative possibilities. Stretched thin, God feels thicker. Practicing stillness together. Collaborative problem-solving. Expanding view of what is possible – racial reconciliation, creative connectivity, the power of prayer, seeing God everywhere. I am loving “not just doing” the next verb.

Learning – Our Creator is in all of us. With touch taken away, we are reaching out in new ways. What’s going to come out of this unprecedented time? Expansion into more. Move forward with God intuitively. We are in this overwhelming experience together, globally. Learning how to be prayerful and present. Accepting what is leads to gratitude.

Now, ask yourself, “This month, what am I losing? What am I loving? What am I learning?” What might you add to our growing list?

If you grasp and cling to life on your terms, you’ll lose it, but if you let that life go, you’ll get life on God’s terms (Luke 17:33, MSG).
