Good morning…

Extremely grateful, I thanked store owner, Lisa, at The Front Porch of Vining for sharing with us a combination of donated and purchased items from her new fresh market for our recent retreat. Two large flower arrangements with an adorable one thrown in. Local pies and yummy pecans. Gift basket and a “Happy Spring” display. Chocolates and cheese straws. Hand soap and tea towel. Her generosity made our morning extra personal, quite special.

As the two large arrangements began slowly dying in my home, I took them out onto our back porch and clipped the living remnants to put in small vases all their own. Making ten tiny arrangements from the two, I gave “Thank you” flowers to women who were diligently praying for God to work miraculously during the two days of our retreats.

As the original flower arrangements died, new gratitude gifts grew and multiplies. Isn’t this just God’s way? In the everlasting economy, gratitude grows and multiplies.

The rest of the seeds fell on good ground where they grew and produced a hundred times as many seeds. When Jesus had finished speaking, he said, “If you have ears, pay attention!” (Luke 8:8, CEV).
