Good morning…
The full moon peeks through our window pane, piercing through the trees, partnering with the dark of night. I catch a glimpse and am drawn outside. Wet grass. Bare feet. A perfect pairing on my parents’ 65th wedding anniversary.
I have returned to Atlanta, Georgia, with special memories lingering from my nine day visit with my family in Ohio. A creative cake. A four-inch binder full of fun photos from over the years. Paired with our people, this weekend we celebrated the huge impact of my parents’ lives.

When we went to my hometown church that Sunday morning, the pastor asked my dad, “How have you stayed married for so long?”
“You marry the right person,” he simply replied.
And the two people will become one. So they are no longer two, but one (Mark 10:8, ERV). Celebrating their sapphire anniversary, my parents enjoy a deep sense of fullness, just like tonight’s moon.

Happy anniversary, mom and dad!
…Sue…
P.S. For those wanting to celebrate the huge impact of Audrey DeShetler’s life, we are hosting a service at 2:00 pm on Saturday at Northside Church (2799 Northside Drive NW, Atlanta, GA 30305). The service will be live-streamed on our church website and recorded for the family.
