Good Morning…

On her Facebook page our friend Laura Deisley wrote these words last week: “Fred Rogers often told this story about when he was a boy and would see scary things on the news: My mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.”

“Late last evening, the world lost an incredible helper,” Laura posted the day after. “Never looking for fame or fortune, Beth Cooley Jordan was the epitome of a helper – and the most determined woman and extraordinary encourager I have ever met.”

Today at Beth’s celebration of life service, may we experience God’s resurrection power: See, God is my Helper. The Lord is the One Who keeps my soul alive (Psalm 54:4, NLV).
