Good morning…

“Sue – thank you for the wonderful message today,” she emailed me after yesterday’s post, Listen Carefully. “When I read Henri’s meditation on July 6th, I was struck by the rich notes of the veil that were connected to the music you were writing to us about the Will of God. Isn’t God’s tapestry so brilliantly colored?”

“One of two things – you have had a rough and rich experience with the kids,” she intuitively sensed. “Take some time before rushing back into the ‘norm’ of busyness to rest in those days. We missed you, and we were able to get by. Only write what you feel compelled to write and take care of yourself. Please.”

“Two of two things – it seems to me that God’s will for us is identified by listening to His word, by listening to each other, and by listening to the needs of this world,” she dropped down into a deeper understanding. “It seems to me one common theme in the listening is Compassion. So we each may ask ourselves this question: How am I listening for ways to bring Compassion into daily life, so I may walk in His Love, His Freedom, His Mercy, His Will for me?”

“Peace be with you,” concluded my compassionate friend.

So Lord, don’t hold back your love or withhold your tender mercies from me. Keep me in your truth and let your compassion overflow to me no matter what I face (Psalm 40:11, TPT).

As my fingers rest silent, still, at peace in this moment, please enjoy a rich experience of God’s brilliant tapestry.

…Sue…
