siempre

Good morning…

I have been delightfully out of cell service for 90 percent of the past three days. Traveling with my husband on his new venture with the Lovett School, we have loved bonding with our group of sixteen, mostly strangers who are becoming fast friends. Steve is creating of an adult trip program, and I get to join in on some of his adventures. Getting away to Siempre Verde, Ecuador to Lovett’s cloud forest property for three lush days has been incredible, amazing, fabulous.

Pictures speak louder than words, so I will let my typing fingers step aside.

Over happy hour each night, we debrief about our day, circling up around the fire. The people who live on the land, who have become longtime friends to many in the Lovett community, serve us a fresh, delicious meals and welcome us warmly into the beauty of their simple way of life.

Unplugging from our ordinary lives and experiencing new things with new people in new places, the benefits are many. Next our fun group will visit the equator line, before heading into our exploration of the Galapagos Islands. Tune in tomorrow for more inviting pictures!

And how blessed all those in whom you live, whose lives become roads you travel; They wind through lonesome valleys, come upon brooks, discover cool springs and pools brimming with rain! God-traveled, these roads curve up the mountain, and at the last turn—God in full view! (Psalm 84:5-7, MSG).
