Good morning…
We are invited into deeper trust. God feels every fear, God knows every need, and God offers permeating peace to calm our anxiety. In the privacy of our personal prayers, will we take time to let go and lay down our worries?
Fear will not leave us alone, worries naturally well up in each human heart. Our scared soul is prone to wander, LORD, we feel it. We wander and we wonder. “What if?” “How come?” “Why now?” Sweaty palms. Racing thoughts. Incessant obsessions. This internal unrest wakes us up in the dark on night. God feels with us. God knows everything. God understands our craziest concerns.
Before we were born, Maker of all baked the real remedy for anxiety into our dough. When our undeniable worries rise up, we simply, repeatedly lay them down, entrusting them into the constant care of our Creator. Fear does not own us. Worries do not define us. In the presence of God, anxiety loosens its ugly grip. In the innermost place where our deepest fears are faced, the enthroned Prince of peace permeates our surrendered soul with life-giving power.
Let the peace of Christ have power over your hearts. You were chosen as a part of His body. Always be thankful. Let the teaching of Christ and His words keep on living in you. These make your lives rich and full of wisdom (Colossians 3:15-16a, NLV).
