beauty

Good morning…

I wake to the special email below, reminding me of this week’s Holiday Gathering. Whimsical. Welcoming. The invitation quietly whispers, “Get ready for a wonderful evening.”

God and I have been diligently discerning fresh wisdom to share with the down-to-earth women of our community. If you are free on Thursday night, please consider joining us as we prepare our minds, our hearts and our guts. Together, we will learn to savor the unique beauty pouring through life’s brokenness. Broken toys. Broken hopes. Broken promises. Broken relationships. Broken perfect plans.

Wait. Watch. Wonder. Witness. Saturating our holes, God’s love makes us whole. The Spirit’s restorative presence? It’s pure gold!

By yourself you’re unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped (Ecclesiastes 4:12, MSG). Sustainer. Friend. Spirit. Cupped by the love of God, our weak parts are miraculously made strong.

In six full weeks from today, we will awake on Christmas morning. Might we be a uniquely cracked vessel overflowing with God’s healing love?
