Good morning…
My friend and her family took their cancer-filled dog to the vet, ‘putting her down’ so they say. “It was peaceful and quiet,” she texted soon after. “She just went to sleep. Thank you, Sue. Your comfort helped me prepare for those steps.”
Connecting soul to soul in the midst of our daily lives, we experience God’s quiet, peaceful comfort as we prepare together for life’s challenging steps.
And if you offer yourself to [assist] the hungry
And satisfy the need of the afflicted,
Then your light will rise in darkness
And your gloom will become like midday.
And the Lord will continually guide you,
And satisfy your soul in scorched and dry places,
And give strength to your bones;
And you will be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail (Isaiah 58:10-11, AMP).
In our everyday lives, if we offer, assist, and satisfy needs, then our light and our darkness will gradually shine like midday. Continually guided by God, hard step by hard step, we will become a strong, satisfied soul, a well-watered garden, a life-giving spring whose waters never run dry.
…Sue…
