Good morning…
“You’ve always given me breathing room, a place to get away from it all, a lifetime pass to your safe-house, an open invitation as your guest,” says Psalm 61:3-5 in the Message translation. “You’ve always taken me seriously, God, made me welcome among those who know and love you.”
Morning by morning, we curl up on the couch of prayer not only to take breathing room for ourselves but also to offer up to the Almighty God our heartfelt concerns for one another and for our troubled world. Constantly I pray for each of you and for our collective community, [I always pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation [that gives you a deep and personal and intimate insight] into the true knowledge of Him [for we know the Father through the Son] (Ephesians 1:17, AMP).
As our centerpiece for the this week, our Father/Savior/Spirit has brought to our awareness the needs of the whole world. As a bonding form of worship on this sacred Sabbath morn, experience with me again the powerful prayer sung by a blonde child. In this new rendition, let’s center our hearts on the lyrics and the powerful images living at our collective core.
