Good morning…
I don’t usually blog on Sunday mornings, but God’s guiding light is illuminating more wisdom for us.
Yesterday, I shared this piercing picture and mini message.

Good morning…
“As I sit doing my quiet time I look to the door and this is what I see ❤️🙏😇,” she texted.
As we see God in the quiet, might we begin to notice God in life’s noise?
God, the great God, the Lord, is speaking. He is calling everybody on the earth, from where the sun rises in the east, to where it goes down in the west. God is shining out (Psalm 50:1-2a, EASY).
Sit. Look. See.

When I woke from my second sleep, God’s surround sound struck again. I opened the Henri Nouwen Society meditation for the morning and was greeted by this title: “Seeing Spiritual Beauty.” Sewn together, God’s encouragement sounded like this: “Sit. Look. See. See spiritual beauty.”
Then Nouwen continued our conversation.
“Contemplation looks not so much at things as through them,” writes Henri, “into their hearts, into their centers, and through their centers to discover the whole world of spiritual beauty… That is why the Greek fathers, who were great contemplatives, are known as the “diaretic fathers.” (Diarao means “to see into,” “to see through” – literally, into the heart of the matter.) That is why they could read the hearts and troubled souls of those who consulted them: because they could see through appearances into the innermost self. Jesus, of course, had this capacity to see truly.”
The Lord has made us with ears to hear with and eyes to see with. They are both his gift to us (Proverbs 20:12, EASY).
