Good morning…

What Is Your Star Word? we asked in yesterday’s post, a single word guiding you into the living presence of the Christ child, Emmanuel, God-with-us.

For 2026, my star word is SIMPLIFY. The Dictionary.com definition reads: “to make less complicated, clearer, or easier.” Clarify. Cut down. Reduce. Shorten. Streamline. SIMPLIFY. We live in a complicated world with lots of dark influences. The light of our living Lord brings clarity and ease. SIMPLIFY.

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord (Psalm 89:15, NIV).

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned (Isaiah 9:2, NIV).

When Jesus spoke… he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12, NIV).

But if we live in the light, as God does, we share in life with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus washes all our sins away (1 John 1:7, CEV).

The peoples of the world will walk by the light given by the Lamb (Revelation 21:24, ERV).

As we SIMPLIFY our primary purpose each and every day, we shine the light of our living Lord.

Arise, shine, for your light has broken through! The Eternal One’s brilliance has dawned upon you. See truly; look carefully—darkness blankets the earth; people all over are cloaked in darkness. But God will rise and shine on you; the Eternal’s bright glory will shine on you, a light for all to see. Nations north and south, peoples east and west, will be drawn to your light, will find purpose and direction by your light. In the radiance of your rising, you will enlighten the leaders of nations (Isaiah 60:1-3, VOICE).

Together with God, let’s SIMPLIFY and SHINE LIGHT, my friends.
