Good morning…
Our home is filled with artwork created by people I know and love. Margo Boden. Our children. Steve Penley. Gina MacFarland. Sally Mitchell. The one artist who graces our home most often with her beautiful creations is painter, photographer, and philantropist Corrine Adams. One-of-a-kind photographs. Funky seed creations. Transparent bottles filled with cool sayings. Unique jewelry, rings, bracelets, and necklaces. Handmade clothing, scarves, jackets, and t-shirts embroidered by talented women in Nicaragua. For years I have been collecting Corrinne Adams’ treasures.
Yesterday was another day I joyfully treasure hunted at Corinne’s welcoming studio. I browsed. I pondered possibilities. I chatted, lingered, and met life-giving people. I even went back to purchase an item that had grown roots in my mind. All proceeds from artistic items sold are freely given away, which is Corinne’s ultra-generous way.
One of our other church friends, Susan Spratt, has found her own sacred life-giving space at Jolly Avenue Garden, in the refugee community of Clarkston. For her artistic giving, Susan just won an award resulting in a $10,000 donation. If she wins the national contest, the garden will receive $50,000. Please take a minute and vote for Susan!
Congratulations to Susan Spratt for being selected as the winner of the 2019 Cox Conserves Hero Award for Georgia!

Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope! (Romans 15:13, MSG).

P.S. If you happen to find your way to the “Art of Giving” sale today, please tell Corinne, “Sue sent me!”
