Good morning…
Each year for the past four years I have hosted a Bible study on Wednesday afternoons for the “moms of high school seniors” from my kids’ school. Next week, I meet with a group of three moms who want to begin the special tradition at a neighboring school, and I have been asked to mentor another woman as she begins a “moms of seniors” study at her own son’s school. I love to watch God blessing me to be a blessing so that others are encouraged to boldly bless.
Yesterday was our final meeting of this year’s “moms of seniors” group. Toasting with lemon and water, champagne and orange juice after our “Symbols of the Soul” gift exchange, we celebrated a meaningful semester of learning. We shared the bittersweet flavor of saying goodbye to a life phase which has sparked such joyful growth in our families. One mom shared with me a moving video created as a high school graduation gift by Katrina Kenison, beloved author of The Gift of an Ordinary Day. Open your heart and let it be touched by the extraordinary gift of this video, remembering your own most loved ordinary moments: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=olSyCLJU3O0
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy, Philippians 1:3-4 (NIV),
