Good morning…
Many people related to our blog yesterday, Walking With Depression.
The first to reply was the person at the center of the post, my friend who had shared her hard, heavy feelings as we walked to and from the horse farm. “I love you my friend…” she texted. “I hear God speaking to me in your words, and I hear Him reminding me that He is present…in this friendship He has given me with you.”
“Here is my reading this morning among others,” she continued, sharing an insightful excerpt from Edges of His Ways by Amy Carmichael. “This…this is what God is trying to show me…it’s the only way to experience true rest, peace, freedom and everlasting joy.”
“Glance at your circumstances; gaze at your God,” an old saying trains our eyes.
This…this is the shining path, stretching away from the place we stand to the very heart of God. The path of those who do right is like the sun in the morning. It shines brighter and brighter until the full light of day (Proverbs 4:18, NIRV). This…this is the shining path that shineth more and more as we walk in it.
