Good morning…

Each day I write along the tender tightrope spanning transparency and trust. Developing trust in our living LORD, in God’s Holy Spirit power, my vulnerable fingers need to listen well for wisdom. Encouraging transparency in myself and other people, I share the raw-real, expanding edge of my imperfect self.

On the cusp between my conscious and unconscious self, I am now taught a vital lesson from Mary, Jesus’ mom. To an ordinary, unwed virgin the angel Gabriel paid a visit, laying out the details of God’s redeeming plan. “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will conceive a baby, a baby who grow to be the savior of our world.” After the angel left her, Mary did something important. Mary treasured all these things, giving careful thought to them and pondering them in her heart (Luke 2:19, AMP).

Instructions from the LORD are clear to me right now: “First treasure. Think carefully. Patiently ponder.”

Morning after morning, within my transparent heart I trust the Holy Spirit to conceive something life-saving.
