ungrounded

Good morning…

When I try hard to walk a perfectly straight line through the foggy haze of this wounding world, my forceful feet fail me. Peace. Playfulness. Inner balance. These life-giving qualities evaporate. Like a giant balloon girl in the showy Macy’s parade, I float through the motions, hovering aimlessly. Ungrounded. Uncertain. Unsettled in my soul.

I start to stop trying. I’m not trying to get my way in the world’s way (Psalm 17:4, MSG).

I surrender into a very different way of living. I sense God’s presence surround me and ground me, bestowing upon me transformational power. As I continue to move through the murky mysteries of life, my focus shifts from the shouting world to the inner whispers of our loving God.

Breathing in the power of the living Christ, I am inspired to try new things. I’m trying to get your way, your Word’s way. I’m staying on your trail; I’m putting one foot in front of the other. I’m not giving up (Psalm 17:5, MSG).
