Good morning…
Wildly generous artist Corinne Adams and I had a delightful time creating jewelry this month for the kids at the Agape Youth and Family Center (see our recent post I Feel Like Santa’s Elf). Then our joy was made more complete as we and a few Julie’s Dream volunteers spent Wednesday afternoon helping bilingual children of all ages to create colorful cards, to decorate gift bags, and to choose two of our donated gift items to give to their loved ones on Mother’s Day morning.
Now the joy Corinne, Julie Harlan, and I feel today is made even more complete as we think about all of the excited children from Agape (the perfect name for this life-giving nonprofit). Our prayers are with them as these talented kids unwrap their unique gifts with their loved ones this Mother’s Day morn.
Remember what Jesus said about God’s abundant agape love? If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing. This is My commandment, that you love and unselfishly seek the best for one another, just as I have loved you (John 15:10-12, AMP).
This Mother’s Day morning, may you also unwrap the joy of Christ, contagious joy being made full and complete and overflowing through you.
