Good morning…
The two places where we have absolutely no control are “yesterdays” and “tomorrows.”
We can not erase anything from the crowded chalkboard of “yesterdays.” We can not scribble ahead to gain understanding from the blank slate of “tomorrows.” Today we do not control, but today we can influence. With our attitude. With our gratitude. With our keen awareness of God’s powerful presence with us each moment.
We know Who is in charge of redeeming every yesterday and paving a path of blessing for each tomorrow. We place Christ’s yoke of gentle companionship over our shoulders right now and walk in step, side by side, while our Savior carries compassionately the bulk of today’s load.
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light,” Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT),
